Prepare for Flu Season!

Taney County Health Department will be holding flu clinics for those considered high-risk. Dates:

  • October 23 at our Forsyth location from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • October 24 at the Branson Rec Plex from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

For Taney county residents considered high-risk there will be no charge. High-risk categories are:

1. Diabetes
2. Cancer
3. Asthma
4. Heart
5. Lung
6. Liver
7. Kidney
8. Auto immune disorder
9. Pregnant during flu season
10. Chid under 36 months of age
11. Healthcare worker
12. Neurological disorder (seizures)
13. 65 or older
14. Caretaker for someone or lives with someone in above list

Flu vaccine for those that are not high-risk will be available after the above clinic dates. The charge will be $25 for Taney county residents. Anyone living outside of Taney county will be charged an additional $15 fee.

Remember, prevention is the key. Wash your hands, cough or sneeze into your sleeve, and stay home if you are ill. Stay well, get your flu shot.

Join Our Food Safety Class for Workers!

  • Department will offer monthly food safety training classes for workers.
  • The second Wednesday of each month* from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the Taney County Health Department Office, 15479 Hwy 160, Forsyth, MO 417-334-4544 ext 248.
  • The fourth Wednesday of each month from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Taney County Health Department Office, 320 Rinehart Rd, Branson, Mo 417-334-4544 ext 248.
  • A $10.00 fee includes a ServSafe work book and a two year certificate upon completion of the course
  • Call 417-334-4544 ext 248 to register .

*First class September 10th

Taney County Health Department cares about the health of our community. Therefore we are taking an active role in helping reduce the number of tobacco related illnesses. Since April 3, 2008, both Taney County Health Department locations are Tobacco Free campuses.
