Food Safety Program
The goal of the food program is to ensure that the food sold and served in Taney County is safe, wholesome, properly labeled, and produced under sanitary conditions. We strive to enforce the Taney County, Branson, and Hollister food safety ordinances; which are based on the 1999 FDA Food Code. We conduct food establishment inspections based on risk, ensure the education of food handlers and operators, review plans on all new or remodeled facilities, and inspect temporary food events to prevent food-borne illness.
