Bridging the Gap

2005 Community Health Assessment

Taney Couny Community Health SurveyThe 2005 Community Health Assessment of Taney County provides a detailed look at health data collected for a number of public health issues. Topics in the assessment include demographics, socio-economics, environmental health issues, maternal and child health, youth issues, chronic diseases, communicable diseases, diversity issues, senior issues, social issues and health care services.

This assessment will be used to stimulate discussions among stakeholders in the community. From these discussions priorities can be set and community based initiatives started or strengthened to help address the health issues in Taney County.

The Community Health Assessment is a valuable resource that will be useful to many organizations in the community. During the fall and winter of 2005, community meetings will be held to discuss health priorities. These meetings will provide useful information for guidance during planning and development of community programs.

If you have any questions, or would like to schedule a meeting for your community group please contact Robert Niezgoda or Jean Mueller at the Taney County Health Department, 417-334-4544.
